Alleyway Orphans

In the form of a Chinese tear-off calendar, Alleyway Orphans interactively presents 53 photographic documentation of discarded furniture pieces. Without additional arrangement, each photo captures the condition and natural decay of the abandoned pieces. The intended tearing gesture reinforces and reflects the disposable consumerism mindset in conjunction with the devaluation of mass-production design work.

All photos are taken on film camera over the summer of 2024, Chicago.
